Lee County's Office Consolidation Still Months Away
Keokuk, IA – The effort to streamline Lee County government may still be months away from becoming a reality. The Board of Supervisors has held several brainstorming sessions to generate ideas on how office space and governmental operations can be consolidated. Supervisor Joe Kowzan says the project is so large that it will take some time to implement any changes the board approves. Some of the proposals already discussed include combining the Department of Human Services with the Health Department as well as offering one drivers license facility.
