Keokuk Mayor Has Cancer, Will Continue

Keokuk, IA – Keokuk's mayor has announced that he has cancer. Dave Gudgel says he found out about the diagnosis last week. He will not name type of cancer, only saying that it is a rare form. Gudgel said he wanted to make the information public so people know what is going on. He says he will stay on as mayor and plans to keep his name on the November ballot for another two-year term. He will be on a regimen of medication.
