IDOT Plans Further 336 Corridor Hearings
Peoria, IL – The Illinois Department of Transportation will hold a series of hearings next month to seek comment on revised corridors for Route 336. The department has dropped some possible alignments and added others for the proposed highway between Macomb and Peoria. Engineer Scot LaSalle says the department will take the comments from the March hearings and return with what could be a final plan in about a year. Among the changes being suggested are a different intersection where the corridor meets with the proposed bypass on the east side of Macomb. The plans will be on display March 22 from 4-7 p.m. at Macomb's VFW post. IDOT will also hold hearings on the 21st in Peoria and the 23rd at Canton High School.
