Sharon Faust

Director of Development

Sharon is the Director of Development, and her duties are to help Tri States Public Radio raise funds from individuals and businesses throughout the region, in an effort to help pay for the programs and activities of the media service. Sharon is a native of Dearborn Heights, Michigan. Sharon has a Bachelor of Music Education, an Artist Diploma, and she attended the College-Conservatory of Music, the University of Cincinnati, as well as Eastern Michigan University. Sharon’s career began in radio from being an avid listener of public radio for many years in locations around the country. Having being fond of public radio Sharon jumped at the opportunity to interview for a position at WIUM/WIUW. She expressed being fortunate enough to be chosen to fill the position. Sharon has previously worked as Director of Education at Sherwood Conservatory of Music in Chicago, Administrative Director at the Southern Music Center in Columbus, Georgia, and also Director of the Creative Arts Program at the Shenandoah Conservatory of Music in Winchester , VA. In Sharon’s spare time she enjoys playing the oboe and being a member of the Knox-Galesburg Symphony Orchestra.
