Peter Andersen, professor of communication at San Diego State University, says fear can motiviate people. But he says most people don't like listening to things that scare them so they tend to forget such messages.

Schock Stops In Macomb, Blasts Health Care

Macomb, IL – Freshman Republican Congressman Aaron Schock did not mince words when it comes to his disapproval of the recently signed health care overhaul legislation. Speaking to a capacity crowd at the McDonough County Republicans' Lincoln Day Dinner, Schock said Democrats continually "ignored the will of the people" throughout the entire health care debate.

Organization Working on MO Transportion Funding

Hannibal, MO – The Missouri Transportation Alliance is a coalition of business, labor, and transportation leaders. The organization has been working together for more than one year.

Chairman Bill McKenna says the MTA wants to see all available funding spent on maintaining the state's current infrastructure. He says the state receives about $450-million, each year, to spend on roads, highways, and bridges.
