“We spent a lot of time listening to a lot of shows,” said Ahl, adding there are two reasons for the changes: NPR’s decision to end Talk of the Nation (it airs for the final time on June 28), and listener feedback.

This year marks the 40^th anniversary of the tongue-in-cheek political campaign that helped put western Illinois on the map – sort of. Neal Gamm, a bushy-haired, energetic, theater student at Western Illinois University, declared 16 counties should secede from the US and found the Republic of Forgottonia.
